Happy Birthday to ME~

Hehe, no, today isnt my birthday. My birthday is yesterday. Thanks Hannah for celebrating with me. :D. Thanks for the movie treat and the cream puff. And thank you to my Uni friends who celebrated with me one day earlier. And thanks to my family who celebrated with me as well. Hehehe. Got a handbag from my mum and a Hello Kitty cup from my friends. Havent take a photo of those thing yet. Will post them up soon. Er, maybe tomorrow? :). Ya, this is a super short post. Happy Thaipusam!

It's officially Thaipusam today and so Happy Thaipusam to those who's celebrating it. And for those who dont, happy holiday!! :D. Enjoy the one day holiday. But not bad what, after Friday, it will be Saturday and Sunday. Another 2 days of holiday. Yaye!! And yes, this is a pointless post. :P

I'm learning French!!:D

Yesterday was my first lesson for French. Gosh, i'm so excited about it!!:D. It was fun actually. We started by learning counting from 1 to 20. We also learnt some basic phrases. Like "Comment vous vous appelez?" which means what is your name. And you answer with Je m'apelle (insert your own name). :). Fun right? But our lecturer told us that what we are going to learn is just very basic stuff. Hmm, do you think i will be able to understand French movies after this semester ends? Haha. I hope so. :P.

Anyway, went to Kian Han's FYP showcase last Saturday with Li Vien. What they showed there is kinda amazing. Even if you know how to draw or design or whatever but if you don't put it together using those technology, everything is like er, pointless? Ok, let me show you some photos here.Er, this is not those projects exhibited. It's the decoration outside Central Market. :)Yup, this is Kian Han's artwork. Can you see there's some images inside the glass?
This is much more clearer. The image inside the pyramid thingy is reflected by the monitor screen above it. Saw?
This is done by Kian Han's friend where it uses touch screen technology. It's a game but i dont know how to play it. I mean how to win.:P

This is a seriously yeng one. Nola, my personal opinion only. This is a short movie, i should say. But why they uses 3 screens? No, it's not 3 different stories. It's 3 different thing happening at the same time. So they use 3 screens to show you what's going on with the 3 people at the same time. One Step Closer to the Maxis Om Nom Nom Race

When i first saw this competition, i was so thrilled and i am determined that i want to join!! Lol, determined sounds like a strong word huh? Anyway, ya, just in case you dont know about this yet, this is like some sort of treasure hunt game organized by Nuffnang and Maxis. Here's the details:

Date: 15 January 2011 (Saturday)
Venue: Modesto’s, Ground Floor, Capital Square, 7 Persiaran CapSquare 50100, Kuala Lumpur
Time: 8am-7pm
Dress code: customized “The Maxis Om Nom Nom Race” T-shirts (i want a size M, please, thanks :D)

I am really really eager to take part in this event as i have always dreamt of joining Amazing Race. I mean, it looks so fun going around to search for things and i love that feeling of satisfaction. Like some sort of mission accomplished. :D. Sometimes when i came across with those people on the streets where they are in these kind of competition, i really wished i could join them. If i were to ask them a question, i will ask them, "hey, how did you get into this kind of competition? i want to join too. ". But i didnt at last because i think that would delay them.:P. It's another plus point when the prizes includes a trip to Hong Kong. Oh my, Hong Kong is my another MUST GO destination. Their food, their culture and oh, oh, their Disneyland. Ok, i am going too far. Hahaha.

Another thing is that, i dont have to worry about the directions. As in this race, Maxis is super duper generous to equip all their participants with IPhone 4 that comes with Maxis FINDER 301. So, finding directions would be a breeze!!Yay!!! And IPhone 4, no joke!

Apart from that, the participants are also equipped with a laptop that comes with Maxis Broadband!!! O my gosh, how cool is that? So the participants really dont have to worry about the directions. With gadgets so cool like that, i'm sure all the participants can find their way! Now, what you waiting for? ;D

I really hope Nuffnang will pick me as one of the contestant. *fingers crossed*

Motorcyclist and his slippers

Ok, i seriously have to share this with you. Just now as i was on the road, i saw this. I saw a motorcyclist suddenly come down from his motorcycle and stopped those cars behind him and you know what he did? Pick up his slippers!!! Yes, so damn hilarious!!! XD. Ok, just in case you dont get what i mean, here's a simple illustration.
Not bad huh, my drawing? Still can draw a smiley face on the driver's face. (though the motorcycle is a bit cacat) Ok, i know my drawing sucks but i think it's quite understandable. Dont ya think so? So ya, he was driving (is driving the correct verb for motorcycle?please correct me if i'm wrong). And all of a sudden, dont know why, maybe the wind is too strong or maybe his feet is sweating or maybe....this can go on,like seriously. So ya, there's a whole lot of possibilities. His slippers slipped off. So he stopped those car drivers behind to pick up his slippers. I kept laughing after seeing that. It's like so damn funny lor. Dont you think so?

Unemployment

I read an article on Bloomberg Businessweek few days ago and i saw that unemployment rate has gone up from 9.4% to 9.8%. This is quite a big number. And what they point out is that, those people who are having jobs are having the pay increased. Which means the economy is still in quite a good state. But why the unemployment rate is still so high? According to Bloomberg Businessweek, it's because those companies already know how to create more by using the least resources. So it's either you dont get a job at all, or you are in a high position. Which one do you want?

Tomorrow is the deadline for the entry submission for the Maxis Om Nom Nom Race. Initially i wanted to ask Hannah along but i saw the comment under Nuffnang's post, it says my team member have to blog about it as well. Hmm...Let me ask Hannah and see whether she wants to join. :)

I dont know what to put as title

Yes, i really dont know what to put as title as i'm just going to post some photos up here. 1 more week for school to reopen. Oh oh, i wanna participate in Nuffnang's Maxis Om Nom Nom Race. But i still havent submit the entry yet. Hmm, i wonder will i get chosen. :P. but i am really eager to join. Pick me, pretty please, will ya? ;). Lol, that will be the next post. Glitterati status

As the title suggests. :). ya, my nuffnang glitterati status has been changed from glitterati to ordinary few days ago. Owh, 原来 it's because i set my blog to private before. That is why my status was being changed.

Had lunch today with Li Vien. She's really a smart girl. Well, she's already that smart and intelligent from the first day i know her. But her intelligence grows day by day. (Ahaha, i think so. X)). Anyway, ya, compared to other people, she has a matured thinking. Good. 我真的没交错朋友!:D. She's going to graduate soon in May. Wow, that was fast! She is the same age as me and now she's going to graduate!! Gosh!!! I should be ashamed of myself. :(
